Sandra E. Fry - Executive Director

Sandra E. Fry is a seasoned non-profit executive with a ‘call to action platform’. Ms. Fry is an inspirational leader with the ability to capture a vision and make it speak to her audience. Whether she is challenging staff through employee development, working tirelessly on a fund raiser, a Board retreat, applauding the fervent work of volunteers, or engaging funders and community stakeholders, she is truly a fearless leader. Ms. Fry is mission driven with keen intuitiveness and business acumen, which ensures that non-profit organizations offer appropriate programs and services to meet the needs of their communities. She is deeply committed to making a social impact difference in communities. Ms. Fry states, I challenge myself and others with this motto, “Be intentional, authentic, and as awesome as you dare.” It frees creativity and critical thinking skills – going beyond the standard for exceptional things to occur in communities, organizations, and individuals.

Previously, Ms. Fry held the Executive Director post at Resource and Crisis Center of Galveston County with an operating budget of 1.8 million. She gained recognition for establishing storefront social services in the aftermath of Hurricane Ike. Additional leadership roles held include Executive Director of Bordersville 3-H Center and Branch Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters in Houston, Texas. Ms. Fry received recognition for Outstanding Community Leadership from the Drug Enforcement Administration. She is a graduate of Leadership North Houston. Ms. Fry is a member of Texas Nonprofits, Texas Public Health Association and the American Public Health Association.

Ms. Fry holds a BS in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from the University of Texas at Tyler. She is a graduate of the University of Phoenix with a MA in Organizational Management. Currently, Ms. Fry is a Doctor of Business Administration-dissertation level at Walden University.

Ms. Fry is a native of Jacksonville, Texas. She is the daughter of the late K.J. and Marceil Johnson Fry of Jacksonville, Texas. Ms. Fry is a member of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.
